Basilica museum
Inside the Basilica Museum you can discover three oratories and eight rooms that host the religious artistic heritage of Clusone, witness of a deep Christian devotion of the city. The Basilica Museum houses fifteenth-century panel painting, ex-votos, reliquaries of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, liturgical and precious vestments.
Curiosity: At the entrance of the museum are placed a series of exhibition panels that explain the visitors about the construction of the characteristic door of the Basilica. The door was made with a technique that allowed a single casting: starting from the preparatory sketch, was made a natural-size plasticine model from which a plaster cast was obtained to allow the creation of wax – “positive”.
Driving directions: Once you have parked your car in the spacious parking in S. Marco Road (Piazzale del Sole), take the same road for a short distance keeping left to head towards the historic center and continue on Lattanzio Querena Road for about 150 meters. Turn slightly to the left and take the Square Clock, keep the left and take S. Bernardino Road and go on for about 40 meters: the destination will be on the right.
